Welcome to our donations page and thank you for clicking on a donation button. CAMBr is a 501c3 registered nonprofit organization. Our mission is to build and maintain trails for the enjoyment of mountain bikers in the Chicago area.
CAMBr is a volunteer organization with no paid staff. This means that 40% of your membership dues (60% goes to IMBA for the advocacy and club benefits we get from them) and 100% of your donations go directly into running the club and advocating for, building and maintaining trails in the Chicago area. Some of our expenses are: insurance, tools, trailers, on-site storage facilities, feeding the workers and a few membership events during the year. This is why your support is so important, because without it, we could not do the work needed to have trails to ride.
There are 3 different trails to take with your donation: CAMBr Junior Development Fund, Feed a Worker, Sponsor a Foot of Trail, or a General Donation.
- CAMBr Junior Development Fund: Funds to promote youth entering the sport. Purchase helmets, bikes, gloves, clothing, training activities, events and fix donated bikes for reuse.
- Feed a Worker: You have probably seen our trails crews out working on your favorite trails. They don’t get paid, but we do buy them lunch. So by donating to feed a worker you can select your favorite trail crew and buy a crew member or 10 lunch, as your way of saying thanks.
- Sponsor a Foot of Trail: This donation allows you to support a particular trail system. This donation will be used to buy tools and materials needed to maintain and improve that system.
- Donation: Your money will go to the chapter of your choosing for them to use where they feel it is most needed. For example in the General Fund those expenses may be insurance, advocacy materials, or a grant to a chapter that requires additional funding to complete a project.
Thank you for your support and we are looking forward to seeing you on the trails.
